My name is Mrs. Elaine Goetz.  I am married to husband, Dan, and we have three children, Erik, Sara, and Liz. We also have a dog named Lady.  We live in Independence and are members of St. Augustine Parish.

I received my BA and Master's of Education from Northern Kentucky University. I continue my education by attending workshops and reading professional journals.

I have been teaching since 1976 and have taught every grade but second.  Fourth grade is my favorite.  I have been teaching fourth grade here at St. Augustine since 1991.

I like the small school setting.  It is more personal, and I have the opportunity to get to know all the students in the school.  I enjoy getting to know the children and their families.  St. Augustine has a friendly atmosphere and the children are eager to learn.
