Grade 5 - Ms. Wesseling
rwesseling@staugustines.net

Hello, my name is Ms. Rita Wesseling.  I received my BA in education from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati. I earned my Masters in Education from Xavier University. I also finished a Rank I at XU in Reading and Administration.

I have been teaching elementary students in grades 3-8 since 1973. My entire teaching career has been in 2 schools in Covington. I taught at St. Benedict School and St. Augustine School. Right now I have a fifth grade homeroom and teach Science to 5-8.

I love teaching! I have been going to school since I was 6 years old and I love to learn and teach. I have always taught at small Catholic schools like St. Augustine. I like knowing all the students and their parents and sometimes even their grandparents. By now I am teaching children of students from St. Ben's. I like meeting former students now as adults. The other teachers and staff here at St. Augustine are a wonderful support system.

I like to read and travel. My favorite books are murder mysteries especially funny ones like Janet Evanovich. I also like law stories like John Grisham novels. Traveling is another passion in my life. I like to visit places where I can learn some history or science.
