St. Monica Society

Page Title

The St. Monica Society is an organization for all women of the parish aged 18 and over that provides a network for prayer, service, and social interaction. Meetings are held once a month in the gym on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. The meeting is always opened with the rosary in honor of our mother Mary which is followed by a business meeting and after a prayer to St Monica (our patron and mother to St Augustine) we close with time for socializing and games with our members.

Our main fund raising activity through the year is the Lenten fish fry which we operate with our brethren in the Holy Name Society. We use these funds to support the parish and school, including medals for our First Communicants, a scholarship to support a graduating 8th grader’s continuing education into a Catholic high school, cafeteria equipment, parish needs, and the Diocese Seminary Ball. We also honor our mothers with an annual Mother’s Day celebration for our members and a Christmas party for our members and a guest.

We LOVE to have new members and are open to all participation. Please contact any of our officers or members for any questions or further details.
