Mrs. Katie Lankheit
Kindergarten
My name is Mrs. Katie Lankheit, formerly Ms. Fedders. I am a six year teacher at St. Augustine. I started out in second grade and moved to Kindergarten at the beginning of the 2019 school year. I have grown up in Northern Kentucky my whole life and received a Catholic education at St. Agnes and Notre Dame Academy then attended NKU for college.
I am very close to my family and with my dog Elby. I am very creative and love to do arts and crafts with my students! Last year I got married to my husband Jake and we are enjoying life as a new married couple. This year I am blessed with a small class of students. I’m hoping this will give us access to more field trips and activities during the year.
My favorite Saint is Saint Anthony, he’s always the one I go to when I have misplaced something. I’m looking forward to a great school year!

Hello there! I grew up in Cynthiana, KY and I still have a lot of family there. I went to Harrison County High School. During high school I was very active in the arts (marching band (color guard), music and drama club) which I still enjoy to this day. I now live in Pendleton County with my husband, Kevin, my daughter, and our two dogs. I earned my Bachelors in Communications from the University of Louisville and now I am working on my Masters of Arts in Teaching currently through University of the Cumberlands.
My favorite saint is St. Bernadette who said, “If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces… never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again. That’s the beauty of being alive. We can always start all over again. Enjoy God’s amazing opportunities bestowed on us. Have faith in Him always.”

I attended St. Agnes Elementary School and Notre Dame Academy for high school. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I attended Thomas More University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. I began teaching at St. Augustine School in 2006. This is my 18th year of teaching and I love being a part of the St. Augustine School family.
My favorite saint is Mother Teresa. She has many powerful quotes, but the one that resonates the most with me is, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love. " ~ Mother Teresa

I grew up in Deer Park, Ohio where I graduated from Deer Park High School in 1980. I live about a mile from the house I grew up in. I love living in a small town .
I attended UC Blue Ash for three years and I transferred to NKU to finish my Bachelors degree. When I started teaching at St. Augustine, I obtained my Masters Degree at the University of the Cumberlands.
Teaching at a Catholic school is exactly where I want to be.
St. Therese of the Child Jesus is one of my favorite Saints. I am inspired by this quote: “Holiness consists simply in doing God's will, and being just what God wants us to be.”
― St. Thérèse de Lisieux

I grew up in the small town of Mt. Healthy on the West side of Cincinnati. I attended Our Lady of Providence Academy OLPA on the St. Anne Convent campus. After graduating from Villa Madonna College (now Thomas More University), I was assigned to schools in Frankfort, Lexington and Bethesda, MD. During the summers of these years, I attended Xavier University where I earned my Masters Degree in Education. I then was assigned to Corbin and then Hebron. After that I taught in Savannah, GA and then back to Corbin. After that, I taught in Solomons, MD. Eight years ago I came to St. Augustine.
One of my favorite saints is St. Thomas More because of his clever mind, his loyalty to the king, but God came first, and because of his sense of humor.
Another saint that comes to mind OFTEN is St. Isadore of Seville because he is the patron saint of the Internet. And we all know how fond I am of the computer.

My siblings and I grew up right up the street from St Augustine. We were raised by a single mother and all of us attended 8 years at St Augustine. I don’t believe our family paid a penny in tuition all those years so when I retired, it was an easy decision to give back to the St Augustine school by volunteering as a gym teacher.
Now in my 8th year, it has been a joy to work with the students. I followed St Augustine by graduating from Holy Cross High School and later in life, graduating from Northern KY University.
